Can a homeless person make a living on food samples from grocery stores?

Yeah. A living whereby eating sustains the life-force.

Staves off the hard hunger part and beats scrounging the alley-ways for other people’s discards. Either one works for me.

I’d rather just scrounge around the alley-ways rather than enter a grocery store. Means I don’t have to change my clothes in order to “blend in” like I could ever do that. I could never pass for someone who can afford to shop in a grocery store, let alone not get stopped at the door for my foul aroma. And truth be told, you find much better grub in the back alley-ways of the more posh establishments than you ever do at any food-sampling in a grocery store.
